Model 210 PRS

Model 230 PRS
|
These
small, light-weight samplers are used for personal respirable
particle sampling in dieselized coal mines to obtain size
fractionated particle samples of coal dust and diesel soot.
A respirable cyclone is used at the inlet to remove non-respirable
particles. This is followed by a single-stage inertial collector
with a cutpoint at 0.8 µm and a final filter. The cut-point
is selected so that most (>90%) of the coal dust is collected
by the inertial collector, while most (>90%) of the diesel
soot is collected by the final filter (see diagram below).
In the Model 210, shown on the left, an impactor is used as
the inertial collector, and the Model 230 uses a virtual impactor
as the inertial collector to prevent particle bounce. These
samplers are available by special order only.
